Ignition is an utility software used to burn CDs of popular formats. The specialty of this software is the optimization of the CD disk space to accommodate files. This feature provides the user with the option to save underutilization of CD space while burning. When we opt to burn a software or data that is split across multiple CDs the normal CD burning software ends up writing a meager amount of data into the last CD. Ignition saves cost and time by accommodating this least amount of data into the other CDs written already by performing optimization of CD space saving empty CD for future use.
Ignition is compatible with Dual layer DVDs, HD CDs and DVDs. Ignition provides the facility to burn ISO images to load through virtual disk managers. The software is well designed in categorizing the optimized CDs into individual folders and providing a list of files in the form of text files. This feature helps in cross verification of files present by scanning the text file across all CDs without going through the normal process of exploration. If we talk about its interface then we have option to change its user interface language and there are total of 35 languages are supported presently. One thing about this CD/DVD burner that I really miss is that it does not provide option to create bootable CD and direct CD to CD copy is also not supported. |
